The human form is one of the most engaging and enigmatic subject matters for an artist to pursue. From the Girl with a Pearl Earring to The Thinker some of the most famous and revered art works of all time are representations of the human body and face.

The title,Insulātus is from the word isolated, via Italian from the Latin insulātus, literally: made into an island.
This is part of a continuing investigation into the anthropomorphic relationship between the human body and maps.
Several works, as well as new pieces, are available from Philabaum Glass Gallery and Studio, 711 South 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701
They may be viewed and purchased at PHILABAUM GLASS GALLERY.
